Sweet Cone Alabama to Open New Location in Gulf Shores Ahead of Embassy Suites Launch
Sweet Cone Alabama has signed a lease for 4,342 square feet of retail space in the upcoming Embassy Suites Hotel, located on West Beach Boulevard across from Gulf Shores’ beach. The ice cream shop, known for its homemade offerings, is set to welcome visitors next year. The eight-story Embassy Suites, featuring 257 rooms along with a restaurant, rooftop terrace, pool deck, and retail spaces for lease, is scheduled to officially open on July 9, with reservations already accepted starting August 1.
This lease is one of several noteworthy developments in coastal Alabama. O’Reilly Auto Parts is planning to construct a 7,453-square-foot facility on 1.78 acres at 7112 Ala. 59 in Gulf Shores. The new store will sit north of the Cumberland Farms/Burger King convenience store, at the intersection of Ala. 59 and Coastal Gateway Boulevard.
Additionally, a new Dollar General store is nearing completion in Elberta, at the southeast corner of Baldwin County roads 32 and 87. In Mobile, an out-of-state buyer recently acquired approximately 15 acres at 1576 Navco Road for $180,000, facilitated by Chris Harle of White-Spunner Realty.
In residential developments, Tower Homes has announced the launch of its first new-home subdivision, Patch Place, located off Baldwin County 13 and Parker Lane in Daphne. The project will feature 64 homes, with prices beginning in the low $400,000s.
Lastly, in planning news for Orange Beach, Grander Marine is seeking approval for a dry boat storage facility while Orange Beach Mini Golf developers are looking to modify their plans to include a pizza parlor and ticket office at 24621 and 24645 Perdido Beach Blvd.
