Broadway Baptist Church Hosts “Walk Through Bethlehem” for Christmas Celebration
Rainsville, AL – Broadway Baptist Church is gearing up for a festive holiday season with its annual "Walk Through Bethlehem" event, inviting the community to experience a unique and immersive journey to the birthplace of Jesus. For several years, the area adjacent to the church has been transformed into a vibrant replica of Bethlehem, allowing visitors to step back in time and explore the bustling town.
As attendees stroll through the streets, they will encounter Roman soldiers, local market vendors, and live animals, all while hearing reports of a special baby born in a stable. The experience culminates with an outdoor drama featuring live actors, music, and special effects that brings the story of Jesus’s life to life.
The event, which is free of charge, aims to share the message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. “We do this to share the good news about the free gift of salvation available to everyone through faith in Jesus Christ,” organizers shared.
Reservations are required to ensure an organized experience. Guests can sign up through the Broadway Baptist Church website or Facebook page. The Walk Through Bethlehem will take place on December 13 and 14 from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m., and on December 15 from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. Families with children ages three and under are welcome, though they will not count towards the 15-person group limit.
