Two suspects wanted in connection with a shooting in Mobile County that left one man dead and a woman injured have been apprehended in Mississippi. Jesse Darrell Brown, 32, and Thomas Nickols Marshall, 35, allegedly shot at the victims in Grand Bay, killing Horace “Bubba” Eugene Sellers and injuring the female, who has not been publicly identified.
The victims were shot in the 10000 block of Hall Road while gathering the female’s belongings. They were able to flee to a nearby Chevron gas station for help. Sheriff’s deputies found the female with a gunshot wound to her upper back and Sellers with a gunshot wound to his upper back. Unfortunately, Sellers died while being treated at a local hospital, while the female is recovering.
According to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, detectives interviewed the female who said Brown and Marshall came to the location and started shooting at them. Brown and Marshall are now set to be extradited to Mobile County to face charges in connection with the shooting.
This incident has shocked the community and authorities are still investigating the motive behind the shooting. The mobile County Sheriff’s Office has expressed their condolences to the family and friends of Horace Sellers. The apprehension of the suspects brings some closure to this tragic event, but the investigation is ongoing.
