Alabama football’s Jalen Milroe recently shared that he did not own a video game console prior to the release of EA Sports College Football 25. However, upon the release of the newest installment of the EA Sports franchise last week, the Crimson Tide quarterback quickly changed that. This marks the first installment in over a decade, brought back due to the implementation of name, image, and likeness in college sports.
Milroe, along with his Alabama teammates, opted to be in the game back in February, earning a minimum of $600 along with a free version of the game. He expressed his excitement about finally having a PS5 and playing the game at a CFB 25 video game release community party. Despite not having much time to test the game out due to SEC Media Days, Milroe shared his enjoyment of being featured in the game with a 90 overall rating.
Hosted by Milroe and The Lab Sports Performance Training Organization, the event aimed to provide kids from marginalized communities a chance to meet Milroe. Participating kids got to compete against Milroe in the game, with the winner receiving a free copy. All money raised from the event was donated to the Ivy Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting youth in West Alabama.
In addition to his video game interests, Milroe’s performance on the field is also noteworthy, as he is rated as the fifth-best quarterback in the game. His involvement in community events and support for marginalized youth adds another layer to his persona as a talented athlete and role model.
