The UAB Baseball team is set to open its season with a game against Alabama A&M at Young Memorial Field on Tuesday at 2:05 p.m. The Blazers are coming off a successful weekend at the Swig & Swine College Classic, where they won two out of three games.
UAB leads the all-time series against Alabama A&M, and junior pitcher Colin Daniel was named American Conference Pitcher of the Week. The team has 25 newcomers on the roster, but returning players like Logan Braunschweig and Gavin Lewis Jr. have been performing well.
Senior outfielder Logan Braunschweig has reached base in 31 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the American Conference. Coach Casey Dunn brought in 12 junior college players for the 2025 season to fill gaps left by departing players. As the Blazers enter the 2025 giving year, fans are encouraged to support UAB Athletics through the Blazer Scholarship Fund and other initiatives.
Fans can watch the game against Alabama A&M on ESPN+ and can purchase $2 tickets at the gate as part of $2 Tuesdays at Young Memorial Field. For more information on UAB Baseball, follow @UAB_Baseball on Instagram.
