The Alabama Republican Party has released a new “contract with Alabama,” outlining priorities such as improving the economy, securing the southern border, protecting the U.S. Constitution, and defending children from “woke” policies. Other priorities include protecting Social Security for seniors, supporting law enforcement, promoting energy independence, and advocating for healthcare reform.
John Wahl, chairman of the Alabama Republican Party, stated that these priorities represent the core values of the party and what they stand for. He emphasized the importance of rebuilding the economy, protecting communities, and safeguarding freedoms. The party aims to trust Alabamians to make decisions for their families and prioritize their rights and freedoms.
Wahl highlighted that these issues are not just hot-button topics but reflect the concerns of Alabama families. He emphasized that the Republican Party aims to listen to the public, address their concerns, and stand up for everyday working Americans.
While many of the issues outlined in the contract fall under federal jurisdiction, Wahl believes that Republican victories in the U.S. House and Senate in November will make them priorities. He stated that the party will engage with voters at federal, state, and local levels.
Wahl expects some state-level issues to be reflected in legislation during the 2025 session. He stressed that the contract represents the full values of the Republican Party and their commitment to building a future where every Alabamian can thrive.
