An Albany man, Kelpsie Lott Jr., was tragically killed in a crash in Lowndes County, Alabama, early on Sunday, July 28. Lott, 39, was operating a 2020 Freightliner on U.S. 80 when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned near mile marker 101. He was pronounced dead at the scene, with the cause of death being blunt force trauma, according to Lowndes County Coroner Terrell Means. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is actively investigating the incident.
