Auburn softball has made a splash in the transfer portal with the commitment of pitcher Haley Rainey from Cal-State Fullerton. Rainey, who was named Pitcher of the Year in the Big West Conference, posted a 17-7 record with a 1.68 ERA in her junior season. She played a key role in leading the Titans to the conference title and a NCAA Tournament appearance where they upset eighth-seed Stanford. Rainey, a right-handed ace, will join Auburn as the second transfer pitcher, following the signing of former Oklahoma pitcher SJ Geurin. Rainey began her career at Utah State where she was named the Big Sky Freshman of the Year in 2022. Auburn fans are excited to see Rainey bring her talents to The Plains and help lead the Tigers to success in the upcoming season.
