Troy-Pike Technology Center Hosts Successful Student Signing Event
Troy, AL – May 6, 2025 – The Troy-Pike Center for Technology (TPCT) celebrated its latest graduating class with a job signing event on Friday, recognizing the achievements of 22 students poised to transition into their future careers or pursue further education.
Among the standout moments, Saniya Northington received a full scholarship to Troy School of Cosmetology, while Akierra Cornell secured a position at Dorsey Trailer. Additionally, students Michael Gabel and Logan Sullivan signed with Kimber, demonstrating the diverse opportunities available to TPCT graduates.
A significant highlight was the number of students entering prestigious industries such as Lockheed Martin, where Aaron Lumford, Kamareon Toney, Deaisha Collins, Cody Boyette, Logan Linton, Kyasia Gaston, Tiauza Roberson, and Haley Owens signed on. Furthermore, students Abigail Pollard, Madison Hawkins, Jamaryian Hall, Makayla Thomas, JoKariana Lightfoot, Gabrielle Jackson, Jayla Williams, Asia Lewis, JoCeriauna Thomas, and Jamarcus Franklin committed to serving in the Alabama Army National Guard.
TPCT Career Technical Director Jamie Rich expressed pride in the accomplishments of the students, stating, “Our purpose is to ensure our students are college or career-ready upon graduation. We guide them along that path, but it’s ultimately the students who put in the hard work.”
In addition to the signing event, TPCT organized a career fair aimed at connecting students with local industries seeking qualified employees. This effort underscores TPCT’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships between education and employment, further enhancing the prospects for students as they embark on their chosen career paths.
The event marks the third senior signing ceremony, reflecting TPCT’s ongoing dedication to preparing students for future success.
