Montgomery appointed as Dean of Trade and Technology at WGTC


Lucinda Montgomery has been appointed as the new Dean for the School of Trade and Technology at West Georgia Technical College. With previous experience as the Associate Dean of Trade and Technology at WGTC and as an Associate Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Georgia Highlands College, Montgomery brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role. She is described as someone who is committed to excellence and is dedicated to enhancing programs and opportunities for students.

As an Air Force Veteran who started her career in Logistics and Supply Chain Management in 2000, Montgomery holds a Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration at Georgia State University. She has also played a significant role as a Quality Matters peer reviewer in certifying courses for accessibility for online learners.

Kristen Buoy, Vice President of Academic Affairs at WGTC, expressed excitement about working with Montgomery and the positive impact her leadership will bring to the School of Trade and Technology. Montgomery herself stated that she is honored to take on this new role and is looking forward to collaborating with faculty and staff to further enhance programs at West Georgia Technical College.

Overall, Montgomery’s appointment as the new Dean is expected to bring fresh perspectives and opportunities for growth to the School of Trade and Technology at WGTC.
