Wizz Air, a budget carrier in Europe, has introduced a new travel subscription service that allows travelers to take unlimited flights for 499 euros a year. The pass, available for an introductory price until Friday, will then increase to 599 euros. Passengers can book one-way and roundtrip flights to any of Wizz Air’s international destinations, with no limits, up to three days before departure. There is an additional flat fee of 9.99 euros per booking, and extra charges may apply for luggage beyond one personal item. The airline plans to release 10,000 memberships initially, with availability subject to various factors. This concept of unlimited flights is a first for European airlines, though similar packages have been offered by U.S. carriers like Frontier Airlines. Wizz Air has reported a decline in profits and customer satisfaction in the face of post-pandemic travel challenges and inflationary pressures. Despite this, the airline is exploring new routes, including from Europe to India. The subscription service offers a unique opportunity for frequent travelers to explore multiple destinations within Europe and beyond at a fixed annual cost.
