Trump selects Lynda Blanchard as U.N. agriculture ambassador


Former U.S. ambassador and businesswoman Lynda “Lindy” Blanchard has been nominated by former President Donald Trump to serve as the United States ambassador to the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture in Rome, Italy. Blanchard, who previously served as U.S. ambassador to Slovenia, is known for her work in strengthening diplomatic relations and her philanthropic efforts through organizations like the 100X Development Foundation.
