Trump nominates Kimberly Guilfoyle and Tom Barrack as ambassadors to Greece and Turkey.

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated former Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle as ambassador to Greece and his billionaire friend Tom Barrack as ambassador to Turkey. Barrack, who founded Colony Capital and chaired Trump’s inaugural committee in 2017, was acquitted of charges related to acting as an unregistered foreign agent for the United Arab Emirates. Meanwhile, Guilfoyle, who recently announced her engagement to Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr., is described as a close friend and ally suited to foster strong bilateral relations with Greece.

Both nominations require Senate confirmation, with Guilfoyle expressing her anticipation for securing support. In addition to these appointments, Trump also named Ronald Johnson as ambassador to Mexico, highlighting his contributions to promoting strong America First Foreign Policies. Johnson previously served as ambassador to El Salvador during Trump’s initial administration and has a background in the CIA and the military.

Furthermore, Trump has announced plans to nominate Charles Kushner, father of son-in-law Jared Kushner, as ambassador to France, and named Massad Boulous as a senior adviser on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs. These selections add to Trump’s efforts to assemble his incoming administration, focusing on individuals with backgrounds in various industries and relationships with his family.
