Tight end Evan Engram joins the Denver Broncos in exchange for quarterback Bo Nix

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix had a successful rookie season in the NFL, leading the team to the playoffs for the first time since 2015. However, none of the team’s tight ends were able to reach 20 receptions during the season. In an effort to upgrade the position, the Broncos signed free agent Evan Engram to a two-year, $23 million contract. Engram, who previously played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, had 47 receptions for 365 yards and one touchdown in 2024. Despite missing eight games, he had more receptions than any of the Broncos’ tight ends. Engram has a career total of 496 receptions for 4,922 yards and 25 touchdowns. Nix finished third in voting for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award, with impressive stats including 3,775 passing yards and 29 touchdowns. The addition of Engram to the Broncos’ roster is expected to provide Nix with a reliable target in the upcoming season. For more NFL coverage, visit the NFL page on AL.com.
