Texas A&M University has bolstered its 2026 recruiting class with a significant commitment from 4-star edge rusher Tristian Givens. The standout player from Carver High School in Columbus, Georgia, made his decision public, opting for the Aggies over competitive offers from programs like Tennessee and Washington. Givens is highly regarded, holding the No. 61 overall ranking and being named the No. 7 edge rusher nationally by 247Sports Composite rankings, which also places him as the No. 6 player in Georgia.
“I’m home. Recruitment shut down,” Givens stated in an interview with On3’s Hayes Fawcett, expressing his excitement about joining the Aggies’ program. At 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, Givens has caught the attention of some of the top defensive coaching staffs across the country since Texas A&M initially offered him a scholarship in April 2024.
