Regions Tradition Returns to Hoover, Ala., Raising Funds for Local Charities
HOOVER, Ala. — The Regions Tradition, a highlight on the PGA TOUR Champions calendar, is making its anticipated return to Central Alabama from May 14-17 at the Greystone Golf & Country Club. The tournament has been a community fixture for over three decades, raising more than $23 million for local charities, primarily benefiting Children’s of Alabama.
Children’s of Alabama, the largest pediatric hospital in the state and one of the busiest in the U.S., provides critical care to patients from all across Alabama and beyond.
Kickstarting the week on Friday morning, the tournament will feature a Celebrity Pro-Am, showcasing an impressive lineup of participants from various fields, including NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer, college basketball coach Nate Oats, and golf legends like Bo Jackson and Nick Saban. Renowned professional golfers, including Kenny Perry, Steve Stricker, Darren Clarke, and Stewart Cink, will also vie for victory.
Highlighting the post-golf entertainment, a concert by Monsters of Yacht is set for Saturday at around 4 p.m., adding to the festive atmosphere.
Tickets for the Regions Tradition are affordably priced at $30 for any single day, and children aged 15 and under can attend for free when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Attendees can purchase tickets online, ensuring they don’t miss out on this exciting event that blends sports, celebrity, and charity for a noble cause.
