South Carolina Secures Colorado Transfer Isaiah Augustave for 2025 Roster
In an exciting late addition to its 2025 football roster, the University of South Carolina has announced the commitment of Colorado transfer Isaiah Augustave. The running back made the announcement via social media on Wednesday, expressing his eagerness to join the Gamecocks under head coach Shane Beamer.
Augustave arrives in Columbia with valuable experience from the SEC, having started his collegiate career at Arkansas in 2023. During his time with the Razorbacks, he appeared in 11 games and made a notable start against Missouri, where he notched his first career touchdown. He finished that season with 202 rushing yards on 35 carries, including a standout performance with 101 yards against FIU.
Following his season at Arkansas, Augustave transitioned to the Colorado program led by Deion Sanders. There, he excelled, leading the Buffaloes in rushing with 394 yards on 85 carries and securing four touchdowns.
At South Carolina, Augustave will join a competitive running back group that includes Oscar Adaway III, Bradley Dunn, Matthew Fuller, and Jawarn Howell. The Gamecocks are also anticipating the potential return of Rahsul Faison for 2025, pending NCAA eligibility decisions.
Interestingly, Augustave initially committed to play for Virginia on April 20, 2025, but reopened his recruitment on May 21 when that opportunity fell through. His decision to join South Carolina marks a new chapter in his college football career, as he looks to bolster the Gamecocks’ offense and contribute to their pursuit of success in the upcoming season.
Fans and followers are excited to see what’s next for Augustave as he aims to make a significant impact in the SEC.
