South Alabama showcased their improved shooting skills in an 84-59 victory over Coastal Carolina. Myles Corey led the Jaguars with 27 points as they shot 55% from the field and made 15 3-pointers. This win marks their third road victory by at least 25 points this season.

With this win, South Alabama now finds themselves tied for second place in the Sun Belt Conference with Troy, James Madison, and Appalachian State. The Jaguars are now 16-8 overall, improving on their record from last season.

Despite Coastal Carolina attempting a comeback with an 18-0 run in the second half, South Alabama maintained their lead with Corey hitting back-to-back 3-pointers to secure the win. Jordan Battle led the Chanticleers with 23 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Jaguars’ dominant performance.

South Alabama will now prepare to face Akron in the Sun Belt-MAC Challenge on Saturday. This victory not only solidifies their position in the conference standings but also demonstrates their potential for success as they continue to improve throughout the season.
