ShoalsFest is making a comeback this fall after a two-year hiatus, with a star-studded lineup that includes Jason Isbell, Jackson Browne, and Alabama native Waxahatchee. The festival, set to take place on Oct. 11 and 12 at Florence’s McFarland Park, will also feature music legends Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham. Tickets for the two-day event go on sale this Friday, starting at $75 for Alabama residents. Isbell, a six-time Grammy winner, expressed his excitement for the return of ShoalsFest and the opportunity to bring world-class artists to his hometown. The festival will also include an “in the round” set with Isbell, Patterson Hood, and Chris Tompkins, along with other talented songwriters and performers. Isbell, who released his latest album “Foxes In The Snow” in March, has been busy with touring, releasing albums, and making appearances in films and on TV. Despite the break, ShoalsFest has been a highly anticipated event for music lovers, with past editions featuring artists like Sheryl Crow, Lucinda Williams, and Mavis Staples. This year’s lineup promises to continue the tradition of showcasing local talent and world-renowned musicians, ensuring a memorable experience for fans of all genres.
