The recent AHSAA basketball finals saw seven girls teams earn championships with a player from each winning team selected as MVP. Ace Austin of Spring Garden led her team to victory with an impressive stat line in the championship game. Natalie Barton of Saint James had a strong showing in the Class 3A title game, while Chauncey Dixon of McIntosh stood out in the Class 1A semifinal despite the loss. Madeline Flammia of Pisgah helped her team to a state championship with her contributions on both ends of the court.
Kaitlyn Gipson of Hoover led her team to victory in the Class 7A championship game, while Saniya Jackson of Park Crossing led the Thunderbirds to their first title in Class 6A. Shila Marks of Lauderdale County had a standout performance in the Class 3A title game, and Francie Morris of Trinity contributed significantly in the Class 4A championship game. Isabelle Nelson of Scottsboro led her team to their first title in Class 5A.
