A poll showed that 58% of Americans support openly transgender individuals serving in the military, down from 71% in 2019. A U.S. judge has requested that six military members who sued to stop the executive order be allowed to remain in service until further court proceedings are held. Miriam Perelson, a transgender service member, alleged mistreatment, including being required to leave the sleeping area for female troops and not being allowed to use female restrooms.
