Michael Bennett, a director at Booz Allen Hamilton, has been awarded the 2025 College of Engineering and Computer Science Outstanding Alumnus Award by Wright State University. Bennett, who was drawn to the world of technology from a young age, earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Wright State and later followed it up with an MBA in finance. Throughout his career, Bennett has excelled in the field of engineering and national security, leading a team of over 150 engineers at Booz Allen Hamilton.
In his role, Bennett oversees physics-based modeling and analysis for the U.S. Department of Defense, providing critical engineering services to protect U.S. aircraft and other national assets from foreign threats. In addition to his technical contributions, Bennett also serves as the site lead for Booz Allen Hamilton’s Dayton office, managing over 650 employees and supporting office expansion to accommodate growing teams and hardware lab facilities.
Despite his busy career, Bennett maintains a strong connection to Wright State, serving as a corporate sponsor through Booz Allen Hamilton. He supports the College of Engineering and Computer Science by participating in resume reviews, mock interviews, and celebrating scholarship recipients. Bennett credits Wright State for helping him build a successful career that he loves and finds supporting the university through corporate sponsorship to be rewarding.
Alongside his professional achievements, Bennett is a proud husband, father of two, and grandfather of three. He enjoys running, hiking with his wife, and staying engaged with his church’s finance committee and leadership team.
