Tennessee defensive back Andre Turrentine is looking forward to facing his former team, Ohio State, in the College Football Playoff. Turrentine, who transferred to the Vols after playing for the Buckeyes in 2021, believes that the SEC offers a louder and more intense environment compared to Ohio Stadium, where the matchup will take place. Despite acknowledging that The Shoe can bring the noise, Turrentine insists that the SEC stadiums are on a different level. The junior has been a standout player for the Vols this season, contributing significantly to their No. 17 passing defense in the country. With 35 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 1 interception, Turrentine has been an essential part of the team’s success. As Tennessee prepares for their biggest game in years, kicking off against Ohio State on Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. ET, Turrentine’s experience and talent will be key to their performance on the field. Bryce Lazenby from Saturday Down South reports on Turrentine’s perspective and excitement for the upcoming playoff matchup.
