Noella Marshall Joins Alabama Gymnastics Team for Fall 2023
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama gymnastics program has announced the addition of Noella Marshall for the upcoming fall season, according to head coach Ashley Johnston. Marshall, a standout gymnast from China Township, Mich., is a three-time Level 10 national qualifier, with an impressive track record highlighted by her recent third-place finish on vault at the 2025 Women’s Development Program National Championships.
Marshall brings a wealth of talent to the Crimson Tide’s incoming freshmen class, which also includes Azaraya Ra-Akbar, Jasmine Cawley, McKenzie Matters, and Derin Tanriyasükür. Coach Johnston expressed her enthusiasm in welcoming Marshall, stating, “We’re thrilled to officially welcome Noella Marshall to the Alabama family. Her dynamic gymnastics, fierce determination, and the unique path she’s taken reflect the heart of our program. Noella brings power, artistry, and a story that inspires—we can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make in the Crimson Tide legacy.”
At 5-3, Marshall trained under Mel Schieble at All American Flames Gymnastix. Her impressive competitive history includes finishing first on vault, floor exercise, and in the all-around at the 2025 Regionals.
With her remarkable accomplishments and drive, Noella Marshall is poised to be a significant contributor to the Alabama gymnastics team, bringing both skill and inspiration to the program as the Crimson Tide aim for continued success in collegiate gymnastics.
