Crimson Tide Falls Short Against Southern Miss in Nail-Biting Finish
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Alabama Crimson Tide’s season came to a heartbreaking end on Saturday, falling 6-5 to top-seed Southern Miss in a thrilling finish at Pete Taylor Park. With bases loaded and two outs in the final inning, Alabama was unable to capitalize, concluding their 2025 campaign with a strong 41-18 record.
Bryce Fowler led the offense with a stellar performance, going 3-for-5 with a two-run homer that had initially propelled Alabama to a 5-3 lead in the seventh inning. Will Hodo also contributed significantly, hitting a two-run bomb, while Will Plattner added a solo shot in the third.
