Former Alabama football coach Nick Saban is staying busy in retirement, as evidenced by his appearance in a new ad released by online vacation rental website Vrbo. In the ad, Saban plays a version of himself sharing a rented vacation home with a family, showcasing his coaching instincts even in a new setting.
The commercial highlights the different rules Saban implements in the home, including limiting showers to five minutes and only allowing cable television, no games, and no fun. The comedic twist comes when Saban joins the parents in the hot tub, declaring it as “daddy’s time.”
This is not Saban’s first foray into TV commercials, having appeared in various ads over the years. Vrbo itself is an official sponsor of the College Football Playoff and the title sponsor of the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl.
Saban, who had a successful coaching career at Alabama, winning six national championship titles, will be appearing on “College GameDay” in College Station, Texas, this weekend. The 72-year-old coach continues to make waves in the football world, even in retirement.
