National honors awarded to Auburn sharpshooter after exceptional performance

Auburn Basketball’s Miles Kelly was named the AP national player of the week after scoring 30 points and making nine 3-pointers in a game against Kentucky last weekend. Kelly, who is shooting 41% from deep this season, finished just six points off his career high of 36 while playing for Georgia Tech in 2024. In two victories last week, Kelly shot 12-of-19 from beyond the arc. He is the Tigers’ third-leading scorer, averaging 11.5 points per game. Kelly credited his hot shooting to feeling it from the first possession against Kentucky and loving the Rupp Arena rims. The Tigers will face Texas A&M tonight at 8 p.m. in a game that can be watched live on ESPN.
