Poh Ling Yeow Faces New Challenges as MasterChef Judge
Poh Ling Yeow found herself in a daunting position when it was announced that this season of MasterChef would embrace the ‘Back To Win’ theme. Fresh off her judging stint from the previous year, she was now tasked with critiquing former co-stars, including Callum Hann and Laura Sharrad from season 12, both of whom had outperformed her.

This season has also brought Poh recognition off-screen, as she was nominated for the prestigious Gold Logie, awarded to the most popular personality on Australian television. Her nomination is particularly significant, marking the first time in the award’s history that six women have been nominated alongside one man. "It feels really amazing to be part of this historical moment,” Poh commented, embracing the representation of middle-aged women in the industry.
Poh’s co-star Sofia Levin has also earned a nomination, while MasterChef Australia is in the running for Best Competition Reality Program, showcasing the show’s continued impact on Australian television.
