Univision anchor Jorge Ramos, known for his nearly 40-year career in Spanish-language journalism, is leaving the network. The network stated that they mutually agreed not to renew his contract, with Ramos set to anchor “Noticiero Univision” until December. Ramos has been a fixture on the show since 1986, and has also hosted other programs on Univision and Fusion TV. He is considered a leading voice in Hispanic journalism, challenging politicians and earning 10 Emmy Awards. Ramos has been a vocal critic of former President Donald Trump, famously getting kicked out of a news conference in 2015 for questioning Trump’s immigration policies.
