The University of Alabama’s athletics department had a mixed weekend, highlighted by notable achievements and updates across multiple sports.
The softball team opened their series at South Carolina with an impressive run-rule victory but lost the final two games, finishing the regular season seeded 11th in the SEC tournament. Meanwhile, the baseball team struggled against Vanderbilt, winning just one of three games and now stands at 13-11 in SEC play with two series remaining against Georgia and Florida.
