Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has been named the recipient of the prestigious Pop Warner Little Scholars College Football Award. The award, presented by Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc., recognizes a student-athlete who excels on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. Milroe, who is the first Crimson Tide player to win the award in its 15-year history, was honored as one of three finalists during the 67th Pop Warner Super Bowl at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla.
During his time at Alabama, Milroe served as team captain twice, leading the Tide to two College Football Playoff appearances and two SEC Championships. He racked up an impressive 77 total touchdowns, 5,824 yards passing, and 1,570 yards rushing. In addition to his on-field success, Milroe graduated cum laude with a 3.52 GPA in December 2023 and will complete his master’s degree in sport management this month.
Milroe’s academic achievements extend beyond the classroom, with multiple selections to the President’s List and Dean’s List at the Capstone. He has also been a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll representative and was named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Known for his community service efforts, Milroe volunteers his time in both the Tuscaloosa community and his hometown of Katy, Texas. He has represented UA at joint meetings of the SEC Student-Athlete Leadership Council and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Milroe’s commitment to excellence both on and off the field has earned him this prestigious recognition from Pop Warner Little Scholars.
