Scores of people have been killed in Israeli strikes in northern Gaza over the weekend, with more than 40 others injured. Videos from the area depicted heart-wrenching scenes of casualties, including children, being rushed to hospitals after the attacks.
Amidst the violence, President Joe Biden expressed hope that the killing of Yahya Sinwar, the alleged mastermind behind recent attacks, would reinvigorate peace talks. However, the situation remains grim as Israeli forces continue operations in Gaza and Lebanon, targeting militants in close-quarter combat and airstrikes.
Hamas has vowed to intensify actions against Israel and its allies, with continued clashes in both Gaza and Lebanon. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu indicated that the war is not over yet, highlighting the need to confront the “axis of evil” led by Iran. The region remains embroiled in violence and uncertainty as the conflict shows no signs of abating.
