Innovate Alabama proudly announces the third round of designees for the Innovate Alabama Network, allocating nearly $15 million to a diverse array of organizations across the state. This latest selection includes 58 new designees, elevating total support to over 170 organizations focused on innovation and entrepreneurship in Alabama.
Cynthia Crutchfield, CEO of Innovate Alabama, expressed enthusiasm for the program’s growth, stating, “The Innovate Alabama Network is a catalyst, creating and strengthening our statewide network for innovation programming.” The third round saw 18 organizations focused on access to resources, 22 on talent development, and 21 centered on lifestyle and recreation. Demand remains high, with funding requests exceeding $33 million.
Innovate Alabama aims to fortify the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by investing in organizations that foster innovation in both urban and rural settings. These investments not only provide essential seed funding but also promote statewide collaboration. Among those benefitting is Jasper Main Street, where Executive Director Mike Putman highlighted a new Welcome Center’s impact on the community, bringing commerce and connectivity to Downtown Jasper.
The Innovate Alabama Network focuses on fostering a robust innovation ecosystem through three key components: people, places, and resources. Designees gain access to resources and tools that enhance their visibility and operational capabilities, including the prestigious designated seal.
The program seeks to stimulate innovation at both community and regional levels, ensuring Alabama’s economy is well-positioned for the future. For further information on the Innovate Alabama Network, visit their website.
