Arizona police provided new details regarding the drowning of influencer Emilie Kiser’s 3-year-old son, Trigger, in May. On May 12, while Emilie was out with friends, her husband, Brady Kiser, was at home with their two sons when Trigger drowned in the family pool. According to a report from the Chandler Police Department, Brady discovered Trigger unconscious after he had been in the water for approximately seven minutes; he passed away in the hospital six days later.
Initially, police recommended charging Brady with child abuse. However, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office chose not to proceed, citing “no reasonable likelihood of conviction.” Brady’s attorney expressed gratitude for the thorough investigation, emphasizing the incident was a tragic accident.
The report reveals that Brady called the police around 6:41 p.m., stating he lost sight of Trigger for three to five minutes before finding him in the pool. However, surveillance footage indicated Trigger was actually unsupervised for at least nine minutes, and he had been in the water for seven minutes. The footage showed that Trigger had not entered the pool intentionally but had tripped and fallen in while playing.
During the time Brady lost sight of Trigger, he reportedly placed a $25 bet on an NBA game concerning player Jayson Tatum, which won him $102.50. Law enforcement noted that Brady’s attention seemed divided, contributing to the oversight.
The report was released shortly after a court ruling in favor of Emilie Kiser, who sought to seal certain details surrounding her son’s death. Emilie, well-known for her parenting content, has yet to publicly comment on the tragedy.
