Press Release: Alabama High School Baseball State Championships Set to Conclude
As the school year reaches its finale, Alabama high schools are gearing up for the culmination of their baseball state championships, with contests spanning seven different classes. The upcoming tournaments will boil down to 14 contenders, with seven teams ultimately crowned champions.
Due to recent weather challenges, the Class 7A championship remains undecided, with a critical Game 3 between semifinalist rivals Bob Jones and Tuscaloosa County scheduled for May 12. Bob Jones, the reigning Class 7A champion, is the only defending titleholder still in contention. If eliminated, this year’s championships will see a complete turnover of champions across all classes.
Starting May 12 through May 16, six class championships will unfold, with the first games taking place at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama. Subsequent games will shift to Jacksonville State University for the remaining matches, if necessary.
The Alabama high school baseball championships will not be televised but will be available for live streaming on the NFHS Network. Fans have the option to choose between an Annual Pass at $6.67 per month or a Monthly Pass for $13.99, allowing access to a variety of high school sports events nationwide.
The championship schedule is as follows:
- Class 1A-6A: Games commence on May 12 and continue through May 16.
- Class 7A: Game times on May 15 and 16 are set for 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively, with an additional game at 7:30 p.m. if necessary.
Be sure to tune in to witness the fierce competition as Alabama’s best high school baseball teams battle for state supremacy.
