Gerritt Griggs of Central-Phenix City named MaxPreps Alabama Flag Football Player of the Year


Central-Phenix City’s Gerritt Griggs has been named MaxPreps’ first-ever flag football player of the year for Alabama. This prestigious honor comes after Griggs led her team to a Class 6A/7A state title and a consensus national championship. Griggs, who was already named AL.com’s Miss Football, had an outstanding season, completing 69% of her passes for 3,284 yards and 82 touchdowns with just three interceptions.
