Georgia Secures Commitment from Elite 2026 Kicker Harran Zureikat
Georgia, USA – The University of Georgia’s football program has landed a significant commitment from Harran Zureikat, a top-ranked place kicker from Pittsburgh’s Fox Chapel Area, who announced his decision via social media on Thursday. Zureikat chose Georgia over offers from prestigious programs, including Pitt, Penn State, Syracuse, and Boston College.
Zureikat’s commitment follows another major acquisition for the Bulldogs, as Wade Register, the nation’s top punter prospect, also committed just a day earlier. Both specialists bring considerable acclaim, with Zureikat rated as a 5-star recruit by Kohl’s Kicking, and ranked as the No. 1 kicker in the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 2 kicker in 247Sports’ rankings.
Kohl’s Kicking recognized Zureikat’s exceptional talent during the National Scholarship Camp in July, where he dominated competitions, showcasing his leg speed and coordination that promise success at the collegiate level.
Georgia recently extended an offer to Zureikat after a workout, and he expressed enthusiasm about joining a program that allows for multiple scholarship specialists. “The situation I am walking into is ideal,” he stated. “I’ll have the chance to learn from Peyton Woodring, arguably the best kicker in college football.” Woodring, returning for the 2025 season, excelled in his duties, converting 21 of 23 field goals and achieving a remarkable touchback rate of 57.5%.
Zureikat’s commitment contributes to Georgia’s growing 2026 class, which now boasts 16 commitments and ranks fifth nationally in the 247 Composite standings. As the Bulldogs continue to attract elite talent, the future looks bright for Georgia football.
