Mobile Firefighter Marcine Crawford Jr. tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident near Wilmer on Sunday. Crawford, who served as a Driver for Engine 7 on B Shift at Seelhorst Station, had been with the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department for nearly a decade before his untimely death.
Known for his friendly demeanor, strong work ethic, and dedication to service, Crawford was also a hazardous materials technician and a rescue technician. In August 2022, he was promoted to the position of driver, a testament to his commitment to the department.
Mobile Fire Chief Johnny Morris Jr. expressed the department’s deep sorrow at Crawford’s passing, noting his love for the fire service and his passion for serving others. Crawford leaves behind a wife, son, daughter, and many other grieving family members.
Memorial services for Crawford will be announced by the department in the coming days as the community mourns the loss of a dedicated firefighter and beloved member of the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.
