Former Navy SEAL Jared Hudson Launches U.S. Senate Campaign Following Senator Tuberville’s Gubernatorial Bid
Former Navy SEAL Jared Hudson has officially kicked off his campaign for the U.S. Senate seat in Alabama, which will be vacant in 2026 following Senator Tommy Tuberville’s announcement to run for governor. Tuberville has served in the Senate since 2021 and his departure paves the way for an open race.
Hudson has positioned himself as a political outsider, declaring, “President Trump needs fighters, not career politicians. I’m a former Navy SEAL, not a swamp insider.” His campaign priorities include securing the border, combating progressive ideologies, and defending Christian values.
Supporters have already rallied behind Hudson; House Freedom Caucus member Rep. Eli Crane, a fellow veteran, praised him on social media, emphasizing Hudson’s character and commitment to family and faith. In response, Hudson commended Crane, highlighting the need for staunch advocates in Congress who prioritize public service over political self-interest.
In addition to his military background, Hudson and his wife co-founded the Covenant Rescue Group, a nonprofit aimed at tackling human trafficking and child exploitation. They recognized a critical gap in resources and training necessary for rescuing victims and apprehending perpetrators in this dire field and have committed their efforts to address it.
As the 2026 Senate race approaches, Hudson is focused on building support and rallying like-minded individuals to join him in this political fight, stating his goal is to "provide reinforcements for Eli & Pres. Trump in the fight to Make America Great Again."
With Tuberville’s exit from the Senate race, Hudson’s campaign adds a new dynamic to Alabama’s political landscape as he seeks to become a prominent voice in the Republican Party.
