The 98th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is set to return on Nov. 28 with 22 big balloons, 34 floats, 7 wheeled “balloonicles”, and more. The parade will be hosted by “TODAY” show stars Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker. The parade route begins at 77th Street & Central Park West and ends at Macy’s Herald Square on 34th Street. Viewers are advised to arrive early as there are 2.5 miles of designated public viewing areas along the route. The parade will air on NBC and Peacock, with performances by Jennifer Hudson, T-Pain, Dan + Shay, and more. New additions to this year’s parade include six new balloons, six new floats, and three new “Balloonicles.” Spectators can watch the giant character balloons being prepared for flight on the Upper West Side the day before the parade. The forecast calls for rain, so attendees should bring ponchos. In addition, the best viewing areas are along Central Park West and 6th Avenue. The parade will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on NBC with an encore presentation at 2:00 p.m. featuring entertainers, musical marching bands, performance groups, and more. The highlight of the parade will be Santa Claus on his famous sleigh, the largest float in the lineup.
