A serious two-vehicle crash has lead to the closure of all eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 in eastern Alabama near mile marker 196 in Cleburne County. The crash, which involved a bus, occurred just before 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 13. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has stated that all lanes in that direction will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time. Additionally, the westbound lanes of I-20 may also be impacted. Alabama State Troopers are currently at the scene investigating the incident and further updates will be provided as needed. Motorists are advised to follow an interactive traffic map for alternative routes. The ALEA urges drivers to exercise caution and remain patient as the situation is being resolved.
