Michael DiGiorgio, a 50-year-old man from Southern California, has been charged with drugging and sexually assaulting nine women, one of whom died. The alleged attacks took place at his homes in Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach between May 2019 and November 2021. DiGiorgio faces multiple felony charges, including murder, rape, sodomy, sexual penetration, oral copulation, and furnishing a controlled substance. The District Attorney’s Office is investigating if there are additional victims. DiGiorgio was arrested by Redondo Beach police and is being held in jail pending his arraignment at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center. If convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
