C.J. Mosley of the Jets fined for hip-drop tackle, but no penalty called


New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley faced a tough game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, leaving with a toe injury that kept him out of the Jets’ next game. He also received a $16,833 fine from the NFL for a hip-drop tackle that was deemed illegal for the current season. Three other players with Alabama football backgrounds were also fined for transgressions in Week 2 games. Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold was fined $11,255 for a facemask penalty, Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins was fined $11,817 for unnecessary roughness, and Arizona Cardinals linebacker Mack Wilson was fined $11,255 for taunting.
