Boeing’s PAC-3 Seeker missile named 2025 winner of “Coolest Thing Made in Alabama”


Manufacture Alabama is pleased to announce that Boeing’s PAC-3 Seeker has been named the 2025 “Coolest Thing Made in Alabama” after winning the statewide Manufacturing Madness competition. The seeker, manufactured in Huntsville, is a key component of the Patriot air defense system and plays a crucial role in identifying and defeating threats.
The competition saw over 130,000 votes cast and featured 44 entries from various industries. Boeing was one of the four finalists, along with other companies showcasing Alabama’s manufacturing excellence and global impact. Manufacture Alabama’s president and CEO, Jon Barganier, praised the competition for highlighting the innovation and talent in the state.
Boeing, a long-standing presence in Alabama with over 3,220 employees, expressed pride in manufacturing the PAC-3 Seeker locally. The company’s director of Integrated Air and Missile Defense, Jim Bryan, emphasized the importance of the product in global defense systems.
The Coolest Thing Made in Alabama campaign aims to raise awareness of the state’s manufacturing sector and the quality products being produced. The event, attended by industry leaders, officials, and community partners, celebrated the craftsmanship and innovation behind Alabama-made products.
