Alabama Farmers Federation Backs Cindy Myrex for Special Election in House District 12

Cindy Myrex Secures Endorsement from Alabama Farmers Federation for House District 12 Election

CULLMAN, AL – The Alabama Farmers Federation has officially endorsed Cindy Myrex in the upcoming special election for Alabama House District 12, a seat vacated by the resignation of Rep. Corey Harbison.

A lifelong resident of Cullman County, Myrex graduated from Cold Springs High School and holds a real estate license from Wallace State Community College. Currently working as a sales agent for Lake Homes Realty, she specializes in properties around Smith Lake and Cullman County. Her active involvement in local and state Republican politics includes serving as a Trump Alternate Delegate at the 2024 Republican National Convention and representing Cullman County on the Alabama Republican State Executive Committee.

"Myrex expressed gratitude for the endorsement, stating, “It is an honor to have the farmers of this county backing my campaign. We share a common focus on faith, family, and freedom, and together we will ensure the best interests of our community are prioritized.”

Culminating her grassroots campaign, Myrex’s endorsement is backed by Cullman County Farmers Federation President Lee Haynes, who commended her work ethic and alignment with conservative values. “Cindy Myrex is a hard worker who embodies our ideals and will represent us effectively in the Legislature,” Haynes remarked.

The Alabama Farmers Federation, which represents over 362,000 member families, emphasizes a grassroots approach for local endorsements, relying on feedback from county boards.

Myrex, who resides in the Smith Lake and Bremen area with her husband Ricky, is also a dedicated member of Temple Baptist Church. Together, they have two adult children, four grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren.

Governor Kay Ivey has set the special primary election for July 15, paving the way for Myrex in her bid for state office.
