AJ McCarron Backs Ty Simpson as Frontrunner in Alabama QB Race
Former Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, a key player during the Crimson Tide’s national title runs in 2011 and 2012, is closely monitoring the ongoing quarterback battle under current head coach Kalen DeBoer. As the summer approaches, McCarron identifies Ty Simpson as the likely frontrunner for the starting position this fall.
“Ty’s job to lose,” McCarron stated at the Regions Tradition Pro Am. He praised Simpson’s dedication and talent, highlighting the respect he commands from teammates.
