Auburn men’s basketball suffered a rare loss against Texas A&M on Tuesday, falling 83-72 on the road. This marked the Tigers’ second loss in Southeastern Conference play and Texas A&M’s first-ever win over an AP No. 1 team.
Despite the historic win, Texas A&M students refrained from rushing the court at the urging of head coach Buzz Williams, who pleaded with fans not to do so. This prevented a potential $100,000 fine that would have been paid to Auburn.
