France’s Alexandre Leaute won the gold in the 3000m pursuit in cycling at the Paralympics, setting a world record in the earlier session. Belgium’s Edwoud Vromant took silver, while Matt Robertson claimed bronze in the C2 3000m pursuit. Blaine Hunt expressed the sacrifices he has made for his cycling career, including missing out on family events.
In wheelchair rugby, Japan defeated the USA in a thrilling match. Korey Boddington won gold in the men’s C4-5 1,000m time trial, narrowly beating out the competition. Jody Cundy expressed disappointment with his performance, finishing in fourth place.

Moreover, there was some controversy as British Equestrian has suspended Sir Lee Pearson amid conduct investigations following his non-selection for Paris 2024. Pearson, a Paralympic gold medalist, has expressed intentions to return for Los Angeles in 2028.
