Jamarcus Shephard exposes the reality of Alabama wide receivers

Alabama’s wide receiver room is undergoing significant changes as the Crimson Tide prepare for the upcoming season. Key players such as Jermaine Burton, Isaiah Bond, and Amari Niblack have moved on, leaving juniors Kobe Prentice and Kendrick Law among the most experienced remaining. Prentice had 18 receptions for 314 yards and a score last season, while Law recorded 15 catches for 135 yards. The team is expected to rely on these veterans, as well as newcomers like Germie Bernard and several young, inexperienced wide receivers.
New co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Jamarcus Shepard described the group as ‘inexperienced,’ but believes they are gaining valuable experience in practice. With a focus on developing raw talent, Alabama’s receiver room will be closely watched as they hit the field this season. In other news, Trevion Ware, a former collegiate track athlete and recent graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe, has joined Touchdown Alabama Magazine as a journalist reporter. Ware, who has a strong passion for sports journalism, will be covering the Crimson Tide in the upcoming 2024 season. His dedication and drive are expected to make him a valuable asset to the TDA family.
