Alabama football recruiting is back in full swing after a month-long dead period, with the Crimson Tide hoping to boost its already strong 2025 class. Led by five-star quarterback Keelon Russell, who recently earned his fifth star after winning Elite 11 MVP, Alabama currently has 22 commitments in the class. Other highly rated prospects include offensive tackle Ty Hawyood, wide receiver Caleb Cunningham, cornerback Dijon Lee, and linebacker Darrell “Duke” Johnson.
The class is ranked second on 247Sports and Rivals, behind Ohio State, but holds the top spot on On3 Sports rankings. Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Tennessee are also in the top 10 rankings in various services.
In addition to in-state recruits like safety Derick Smith and defensive tackle Antonio Coleman, Alabama has made impressive strides in California with top prospects like Dijon Lee, Chuck McDonald, Kaleb Edwards, and Jackson Lloyd.
As the Crimson Tide continues recruiting ahead of the 2024 season, fans are excited about the progress of Kalen DeBoer’s first full class, which has shown little falloff after Nick Saban’s retirement in January. With a strong recruiting weekend ahead at the Champions Cookout, Alabama’s class is shaping up to be one of the best in the nation.
